Job Title: Toyota Service Porter
Location: Glendora,California
Department: Service Department
Reports To: Service Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Service Porter to join our Toyota dealership’s service team. The Service Porter plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service by ensuring a clean, organized service area and assisting customers and technicians as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers arriving at the service drive and direct them to service advisors.

  • Move customer vehicles to designated parking or service areas.

  • Retrieve and deliver vehicles for customers upon service completion.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the service drive, customer lounge, and service shop.

  • Assist with vehicle check-in and walk-around inspections.

  • Ensure all vehicles are parked safely and neatly.

  • Help with shuttle service or vehicle pick-up/drop-off as needed.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of car wash and porter supplies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager, or assitant service manger's.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments year-round.


Schedule:

  • Full-time 

  • Weekend availability is required.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior detail technician experience would be preferred but not a necessity, training will be provided.

• High school diploma or the equivalent.

• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.

• Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as and an eye for detail.

• Good judgment.

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Detail/Lot technicians generally work a 40-hour, five-day week with occasional 

 

They work outdoors in all seasons in a moist environment.

 

May be required to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift.

They will also stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel.

Wage to be determined according to prior skills and whether the position is determined to be a full or part time status.
